Joan Lindeman – Growing up on a dairy farm in southeastern Minnesota gave Joan the freedom to draw, write, paint, create, and imagine. She developed and has maintained a close bond with nature, the seasons, and God. Many of the paintings in this story were inspired by the beauty and strength in nature, and deepened by the joy of experiencing it as a child. Joan’s intercultural learning and experiences influence her racially diverse representations of God in this story. Today, Joan commits her time to teaching, specializing in reading instruction at an elementary school in Rochester, Minnesota. She paints and exhibits her work in Lowertown Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her family and great friends are her daily inspiration.
